Time and time again I get asked how do you get excited for every wedding?? Its simple when the door opens and your welcomed with a huge smile and matching hug my question is HOW CAN YOU NOT BE EXCITED!! *wink* Just as in the case of Rachel and Curtis.
This story starts back in 2006 when Curtis and Rachel met when they connected as unlikely guests of a party at Guelph Lake. They had known each other before this, but only slightly. Rachel knew Curtis as the older brother of her friend at work, and Curtis knew Rachel only as the friend of his brother. In fact, Curtis was nervous to approach Rachel because she was a twin and he didn’t know which twin was which! When they finally connected, Rachel’s charm, energy, and love of the outdoors were irresistible to Curtis. From that moment on they were inseparable. After 3 years as a couple, Rachel and Curtis took a romantic cruise in the Southern Caribbean in January of 2010. For several months before this trip, Rachel had been asking Curtis if he had “anything to ask her” during any quiet moment they had together? *lol* The cruise was no different, and earlier on the cruise Rachel had asked if Curtis had “anything to ask her”. Little did she know that there was a very important question in her near future. After a relaxing day at the beach on the island of St. Thomas, Rachel and Curtis got dressed for a formal dinner on the ship. According to Curtis’ secret plan, they arrived early for the dinner and decided to take a walk on the deck to watch the sun set as the ship sailed away from port. As the sun dipped behind the island, Curtis got down on one knee and proposed. The first words out of Rachel’s mouth: “Get away from the edge!” followed by an emphatic “Yes!”*LOL* and here we are today!!
As I mentioned I was welcomed by a huge hug from both Rachel and Curtis on the day of and I have to tell you it perfect way to start the day!! Rachel and Curtis opted to do a reveal which EVERYONE knows I LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! Along with amazing details which this wedding was not in short of *wink*. From the awesome shoes the the gorgeous chairs and decor of the hotel it really was a picture perfect wedding. I big ups has to go out to Hollywood Weddings and Details Couture for the amazing job at docorating the place and thumbs up to the Delta for once again fabulous eats!!
