This love story goes back to 1,2, 3’s and A, B, C’s. Ashley & Kellen’s first encounter was one that they weren’t even aware of as they sat at different tables in Ms. Schinder’s grade 5 class at Christ the King. Pogs and marbles were the focus of that era, not to mention cooties as well. Kellen switched schools for the remaining elementary school years. They met again in high school – St. Benedict’s. The sparks hit towards the end of grade 9 – Where they first noticed each other in the French hallway, the east wing of the building. They became great friends shortly after. Their friendship didn’t last long as ignoring the obvious chemistry was hard, they started dating by the beginning of grade 10.Their relationship continued to grow through their college years. As their relationship grew they began spending more and more time together – realizing that they didn’t like to be apart. They often talked about their future – marriage, children, etc. They decided to take their relationship to the next level by buying their first house together. Shortly after they purchased their home, Kellen decided it was the right time to ask Ashley to marry him. Together they had planned their traditional weekend trip to Niagara – this time he brought a ring along with him. It was the middle of February and it was lightly snowing outside. They decided to take a walk by the falls. During their walk, Kellen found a quiet spot (no one around – exactly how she wanted it), he got down on one knee and popped the question. They began to plan their wedding and the rest of their lives…To be continued =)
The wedding day started a little iffy with 100% chance of rain and the weather man was accurate with his prediction. It rained all morning and really hard!! But by chance the skies cleared up for the ceremony and the rest of the day was simply perfect! I want to give the following vendors a huge shoutout for an amazing job well done. Especially Huong at Gravity hair salon for the amazing job on Ashley Hair, Lynne at Special Events Decor for how beautifully the hall was decorated, Neal at NRG for keeping the dance floor jumping all night and Joe Resendes of Classic Catering and the excellent food and services, SOOO GOOOD!! Finally I want to thank our High-School Sweet Hearts for putting together one amazing party!
