Jennifer & Matt had their dream wedding in Caledon at the Royal Ambassador a few weeks ago. You may recall that when we posted their engagement session, we talked about the fact that this wedding completed the ‘trifecta’ and I have now shot all three of the Grieco ‘kids” (*lol*) weddings, so this was a really special day for us.
Lori and I don’t need to tell you about the joy, the fun and the love that was part of the day because you’ll see it in the photos. The kind of bond that Jennifer & Matt have with each other and their families is something you can’t fake. They come from two incredible families and are so blessed to have not only been born into loving homes, but to also be creating one together!
There are no words for the gratitude we feel for the past three family weddings we have been a part of. We looked forward to Jennifer & Matt’s wedding from the moment we found out they were engaged…and then the week of the wedding came and we wanted to hit the breaks because we knew what it meant once we woke up on Sunday morning after shooting their wedding – it was the last Grieco wedding! (Cue extreme sad faces *lol). But as the days rolled on, we woke up on the Saturday of their wedding and every moment that followed was SO. MUCH. FUN!!!! How can we be sad when we have so many beautiful memories to look back on!?
Jenny & Matt, what can we say? Thank you for your kindness, your warmth and for trusting us with such an important job. We know that this is not the end of the bond we have with your families…there’s always hope that Mr. & Mrs. Grieco will go for a 4th?? *lol* We also did notice… Jenny, you have two unmarried brothers! *wink*.
Wishing you both all of the love and happiness that life has to offer!! We can’t wait to see you all again!
My favourite part of the day…was sitting at our table in our “king and Queen chairs” (lol) and watching everyone enjoy themselves knowing the biggest party me and Jennifer hosted was a super success.
I’ll never forget…the bloody anticipation of waiting for you to tell me to turn and look at Jennifer, and then you said “oh she’s beautiful, go for it brother”
I least expected…the day to go by at a perfect pace. Everyone said it was going to flash by and you’ll hardly remember it. It went by at a perfect pace for me and I remember loving every part about it!
My favourite part of the day…was meeting Matthew at the end of the aisle. I pulled into the church parking lot and I started to get butterflies and tear up. Once we locked eyes and held hands at the front of the church I got a warm sensation and totally relaxed because when we are together everything works out. We always say, “it’s us versus everyone and finally our time to write our own story”.
I’ll never forget… our entrance into the reception. Matthew and I held hands tight and I felt like I was on cloud 9. My husband and best-friend right beside me, our wedding party dancing around us and our closest family and friends cheering us on. Life couldn’t get any sweeter in that moment.
I least expected…my father to be emotional when we had our “first look.” Coming from a family of predominantly boys, my Dad isn’t usually the first to show outward emotion. It was a very special moment myself and my immediate family – the original 6, will never forget.
